Reader Extensions & Forms Processing

Collecting and processing document and form data can be challenging, especially when users are participating remotely or when processing large quantities of documents. Datalogics Adobe® Experience Reader Extensions (AERE) is a web-based service that automates form data collection, creating QR and barcodes, importing and exporting form data, annotating files and embedding file attachments.

Choose which functionality you want included in your documents or forms (commenting, digital signatures, barcodes, etc.), and AERE allows you to enable and offer these extensions to specific users through the free Adobe Reader application.

Using the same core technologies as Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extension, AERE reduces errors, processing time, and cost when collaborating on projects, while increasing security, accuracy, and compliance.

Use Cases

Global Financial Software Company Needs to Generate QR Codes

A financial technology solutions company serving clients in Europe and Africa needed to add to their software the ability to generate QR codes based on the values entered on specific bank PDFs. The bankers using the forms could then retrieve the documents automatically instead of through manual searches. The company had previously used a form designed with Adobe LiveCycle Designer that was no longer working for them. Their goal was to embed the software into their own SaaS product as a feature of their software to create more efficient processes for their customers.

Healthcare Lab Needed QR Codes Added to Patient Information

A clinical laboratory was looking for a way to update patient information in their database. Patient samples were received from several different sources, and the updating was being done manually, causing concern about errors. The lab wanted to be able to add QR codes to PDF test results to retrieve information such as name and data of birth from each sample to include in patient files.

Government Required E-Signature Ability

A government that had been using Adobe LiveCycle for their forms processing needed to upgrade when support for that product ended. Using PDF writeable forms, the government entity needed to include e-signature options on documents and the ability to import/export the data received. AERE was able to provide them with the capabilities they needed to update their forms.
